- (On a personal note, this is the first national presentation by Dr. Jacqueline Fawcett, who had completed her PhD in Nursing at New York University in 1976. Dr. Fawcett was invited to present a paper at the conference by Rhoda Epstein, who was then on the staff of the National League for Nursing and was formerly a faculty colleague of Dr. Fawcett’s at the University of Connecticut School of Nursing.)
