The details for the program for our Annual Virtual Nursology Theory Week are emerging, with the abstract submission process scheduled to conclude over the coming week, and the general plenary sessions are now confirmed! The “knowledge session” presenters will be scheduled soon and we will announce the full schedule of presentations!
Registration will be open early in January, along with the opportunity for sponsorships that will fund scholarships for students. Watch for this to be announced early in January as well, and spread the word among your friends and colleagues! When you register for the conference you will have access to the program Guidebook, with zoom connections for all of the sessions – from which you can pick and choose! Here is a sneak peak of the plenary sessions:
- Thursday March 21st – 10 am EDT – Opening Plenary: “Dr. Margaret A. Newman Center for Nursing: The Meaningful Connections of the Nursing Theory Think Tank for the 21st Century.” Overview of the status of the Dr. Margaret A. Newman Center for Nursing Theory and the history of the Nursing Theory Think Tanks, along with a special tribute to its members. The session will conclude with a panel discussion among UTHSC doctoral nursing students regarding the meaningful connections of nursing theory education for practice and research for the 21st century.

- Saturday, March 23rd – 10 am EDT – Student and Early Scholar Panel – Presentation and discussion of possibilities for nursing theory tanks present and future.

- Monday, 3 -4:30 pm EDT – Closing Panel – Presentation and discussion of the potential for achieving equity in clinical practice inspired by think tanks in practice
