- The Neuman Systems Model Research Institute. For more information, contact Dr. Jacqueline Fawcett (jacqueline.fawcett@umb.edu)
- The John Crawford NSM Research Institute Fellow Award
- Purpose: The purpose of this award is to recognize an outstanding contribution to use of the NSM as a research model. Examples of such contributions include literature reviews, methodology, instrument development, concept clarification efforts, etc.
- Funding: Up to five $100 NSM Research Fellow Awards will be made each biennium.
- The Patricia Chadwick Research Grant
- Purpose: The purpose of this research grant is to fund a research project, by a novice researcher (see below), that will lead to the development of new nursing knowledge framed within the NSM.
- Funding: One $1000 grant will be awarded each biennium.
- The Neuman Systems Model Practice Center

- The Diane Breckenridge NSM Practice Center Fellow Award
- Purpose: The purpose of this award is to recognize an outstanding contribution to use of the NSM as a guide for nursing practice.
- Funding: Up to five $100 Diane Breckenridge Practice Center Fellow Awards will be made each biennium.
- The Betty Neuman NSM Translation Into Practice (TRIP) Grant
- Purpose: The purpose of this grant is to fund a practice that will lead to implementation of innovative NSM practice processes.
- Funding and Award Cycle: This is a biennial award of $1,000.00.
- The Neuman Systems Model Education Academy

- The Rosalie Mirenda Education Fellow Award
- Purpose: The purpose of this award is to recognize outstanding contributions to use of the Neuman Systems Model as a guide for nursing education. Examples of such contributions include NSM-guided courses and/or curricula, teaching strategies, educational tools, and/or publications. These activities may be at the associate, baccalaureate, master’s, or doctoral levels of education.
- Funding: Up to five $100 Rosalie Mirenda Education Fellow Awards will be made each biennium.
- The Lois Lowry Education Grant
- Purpose: The purpose of this grant is to fund an educational project that will lead to development of a new approach to nursing education framed within the Neuman Systems Model.
- Award Cycle: This is a biennial award for $1000.00. The work (to date) must be presented at the following NSM Symposium (odd numbered years) where the awardee will be formally recognized.
