On behalf of the International Organizing Committee, we are excited to invite you to support the 5th Indigenous Nursing Research for Health Empowerment Summit, to be held October 6–9, 2026 on the traditional lands of the Lək̓ ʷəŋən Peoples , primarily the Songhees Nation and the Esquimalt Nation along with the W̱ SÁNEĆ Peoples, in the region colonially known as Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

The Summit brings together Indigenous nursing leaders, healthcare workers, researchers, community partners, and students to share Indigenous-led research and approaches that advance collective wellness among Indigenous Peoples. It provides a culturally safe and Indigenous-led space to celebrate self-determined health and well-being.
The 2026 Summit theme, “Indigenous Wellness: Transforming Nursing & Health Research Impacts,” highlights the importance of honoring oral traditions and connectedness in Indigenous knowledge transfer, advancing Indigenous Health Nursing Research that addresses Indigenous-specific racism, and supporting rights-based nursing practice, education, policy, and research.
