The ABI mission is to: provide global leadership for nursing education, practice and research grounded in caring science; 2) promote the valuing of caring across disciplines; and 3) support the mission of the College of Nursing. The ABI is engaged in dynamic initiatives such as: hosting annual summer academies attracting participants from around the world to dialogue about caring in various areas of nursing and to develop concrete actions for transformative change; building a library of resources on caring and caring science accessible on our website; and creating learning circles that encourage growth in studying and applying caring knowledge in teaching, research and practice.
