Grant Purpose

To support continued testing, application, evaluation of impact, and policy implications of Barrett’s Power as Knowing Participation in Change Theory.

First recipient

Marianne Ditomassi, DNP, RN, MBA, NEA-BC, FAAN, who together with 2 colleagues developed and tested a measure designed to understand perceived power as knowing participation in change in the professional practice environment at Massachusetts General Hospital for nurses and other health professionals. The power theory is an important component of this professional practice model.
