The SRS was founded in 1988 (Co-Founders: Rogers, Barrett, Malinski, Meehan, and Phillips). The mission of the SRS is to advance nursing science through an emphasis on the Science of Unitary Human Beings. The focus of the society is education, research, and practice in service to humankind.

Location

New York University Rory Meyers College of Nursing is located  at 433 First Avenue. Dr. Eileen Sullivan Marx,  Dean of the College of Nursing welcomed the Society to NYU at an opening reception.
